Get ready for the Home & Garden Competition at the Monmouth County Fair!

It’s time to start prepping your entries for the Home & Garden Competition at this year’s Monmouth County Fair! Here’s the scoop:

Entry Drop-off Schedule:

  • Art, Photos, Crafts, Needlework, and Canning:

  • Sunday, July 21: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

  • Monday, July 22: 8 – 11 a.m.

  • Flowers and Vegetables:

  • Friday, July 26: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Baked Goods:

  • Saturday, July 27: 8 – 11 a.m.

  • No pre-registration needed for these categories. Note: This is an amateur competition.

Special Entries:

  • Senior Center and Adult Day Programs:

  • Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Pre-registration required by Friday, July 12.

New This Year:

  • On-Site Native Plant Flower Arranging Competition:

  • Hosted by the Native Plant Society of New Jersey

  • Friday, July 26 at 7 p.m.

  • Contestants have one hour to complete their arrangements and must bring all necessary supplies (container, flowers, scissors, etc.). A limited amount of flowers will be available while supplies last.

  • Pre-registration required.

After judging, all Home & Garden Competition entries will be showcased at the 49th annual Monmouth County Fair!

Fair Details:

  • Location: East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold

  • Dates: Wednesday-Sunday, July 24-28

  • Hours:

  • Wednesday-Friday: 4 – 11 p.m.

  • Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

  • Sunday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  • Admission:

  • $10 per adult

  • Free for children 12 and under

  • Veterans and active military with ID enter free

  • Sunday: Free for seniors 65+ and students with ID

  • New: Half-price admission during the first two hours each day (4-6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday; 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday & Sunday).

Annual Reenactment of the Battle of Monmouth
June 15 & 16, 9 am – 4 pm

Step back in time and bring the whole family for an epic Living History weekend celebrating the 246th Anniversary of the Battle of Monmouth!
