It’s Wednesday, New Jersey!

✈️It’s also just 13 days until the REAL ID deadline. Starting May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers will need to be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights or enter certain federal buildings. Emergency appointments are now available at the Trenton Regional Center for travelers within 14 days of a scheduled trip. There are two types:

  • Life-or-Death Emergency Service

  • Urgent Travel Service (for upcoming travel within 14 days)

Appointments are limited, can’t be transferred, and walk-ins aren’t allowed. There’s also an $80 expedited shipping fee. If you have a passport (even expired up to a year), you may not qualify for an appointment. For details, visit the NJ MVC website.

  • Events are open to Monmouth County residents only

  • Limit: up to 100 lbs. of documents per household

  • Paper only – no binders, clips, or CDs please

  • All events are rain or shine

Ocean County is helping veterans reconnect with the great outdoors through a brand-new program called Veterans in Nature. Launching this spring, the series offers seasonal outdoor activities—like paddle boarding, bird watching, kayaking, and photography—for just $5 per session. Veterans can even bring a guest along!

The goal?
